3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari from Entebbe – Bwindi impenetrable National Park is a home to over 600 mountain gorillas. Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

pickup by the guide from the airport/ lodge and brief you about your 3day bwindi gorilla tracking and Transfer to the home of the great apes having a lunch stop in Mbarara and proceeding  to the park reaching late in the evening for relaxation and overnight at the lodge. The road to Kabale through Mbarara and Ntungamo is the only direct route. This connects to the slow dusty road which winds via the highlands to Ruhija gorilla region through Rubanda. The Ruhija trailhead (about 500km from Kampala) can be accessed by various roads from numerous directions. On your way expect to encounter the equator, hospitable people, rolling hills and huge plantations.


Day 2:  Gorilla Tracking and Transfer  to Lake Bunyonyi

Before entering the gorilla sanctuary for your tour highlight, you will have some breakfast accompanied by a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority Rangers. The beauty of the forest is a true reflection of the dramatic dense forested landscape engrossed by various animal trails that offer easy access for the tourists.

The forest’s terrain and daily movements of gorillas are the key determinants of trekking time. A glance on the habituated group of these apes offers you at least an hour in their presence as you observe their movements, feeding and plays. Indeed, it is a moment turned into a memory!

Having had such a great encounter, you return to the lodge before proceeding to L. Bunyonyi to discover over 20 islands (each having a special story) on a boat cruise. The lake also inhabits an amazing population of birds.

Day 3: Transfer to  Kampala and Departure.

This long but interesting journey back to Kampala happens after a delicious breakfast plus an optional hike or canoe on Lake Bunyonyi. It also involves a stopover at the Uganda Equator monument (Mpigi district) where you will enjoy sumptuous lunch, relax, photography and purchase of Africa’s reminders of the past.
